The Boston Massacre took place on March 5, 1770. A rioting mob of colonists confronted British soldiers at the Boston Customs House, which resulted in the deaths of 5 colonists. 2 soldiers were found guilty of manslaughter, 6 were found not guilty. Sam Adams used this to an Anti-British feeling by calling it a massacre. This was used as propaganda against the British.
