Thomas Paine's Common Sense was published on January 10th, 1776. Thomas Paine's Common Sense persuaded colonists that they would be better off without England and that it was time to separate from England. In this document, Paine elaborated on the despondent circumstances that were being lived by the members of the colonies. He also elaborated on what America has done as its own independent nation and what could be done if they decided to separate from England.This document contributed to the creation of the Declaration of Independence.
